Event by NWD TA Team
Zoom

Description: During this meeting, the next phase of the vaccination effort will be highlighted: a month of action, from June 4th to July 4th, to ensure we reach the national goal of 70% of adults receiving at least one vaccine shot by Independence Day. Discussions on the simple, effective actions you and your organization can take to help reach 70%: talking to people in your community, speaking with family and friends, making calls and texts to people about vaccine access, and more will also be taking place during the event.

Will this and other calls be recorded and posted afterward so that we may share with our stakeholders at a later date?

Noah Gilliam if we get a recording from the White House after the event we will definitely post here. We will also be sharing some take aways during the event via live chat. I hope you can join us!

Christina Bowen Do you know if the previous calls are recorded and, if so, are available?

Noah Gilliam If the sponsoring organization sends out a recording we will make it available on our website too or link to it. I know you are interested in this one and also saw a message from TX on the one yesterday Faith4Vaccines. Any other in particular we can track down for you?

Christina Bowen Great, thanks for that clarification. My question was really just in general if the recordings would be available somewhere for each of these type of calls. Thanks for the responsiveness!

Person to person action, conversations with family and friends and info on how to get vaccinated seem to be key - community leaders are best messengers

Christina Bowen This data is fascinating. Knowing there are people that are "moveable" is so interesting. Would love to see a full breakdown by state.

Julie Devlin agree. It looked like the source was some kind of survey done in April 2021. Maybe they will share slides after and we can get more info

Do you know if there will be any support for vaccinations for homebound adults that cannot travel to a vaccination site?

Jessica Ross, JD, LLM they have not said anything yet on that, but have you heard about what TN is doing with their state home care association to reach people at home? We have a blurb onit at the link below, but can also get you in touch with the ADRC there if you want

Christina Bowen Yes. we have several partners, including local EMTs, FEMA, and our division community nurses going out to reach people in their home. They call Delaware's vaccine hotline through Division of Public Health to request an at-home vaccine and then the partner agency will reach out to schedule an appointment.

Some key take aways from the call.......

Y’all rock-seriously. It’s been one of those issues in Louisiana that we haven’t found a great solution for as of yet and one that was at the top of my personal wish list of COVID problems to solve-so I really appreciate all the help I can get!
