Here is today’s Monday Mailer for you:
National Senior Nutrition Month
March is National Senior Nutrition Month, the perfect time to talk about the importance of healthy nutrition and its effect on the health and wellness of older adults. It is also a great time to make older adults and caregivers aware of the services and options available to help older adults live well and independently at home, including Eldercare Locator, area agencies on aging (AAAs), aging and disability resource centers (ADRCs), and state access systems like No Wrong Door. “Eat Well. Live Well. Age Well.” is a national consumer campaign focused on helping older Americans get the healthy, nutritious food they need to maintain their physical and cognitive health. This campaign highlights the important role of nutrition in promoting healthy aging, the different kinds of meal programs and nutrition services available to older adults in their communities, and how to find them. Find more information and campaign resources here.
