Prepared by the Family Caregiver Alliance of Rhode Island (FCARI), the 2025-2028 Rhode Island State Plan for Family Caregivers expands upon its efforts to strengthen support for the state's 146,000 family caregivers through cross-sector collaboration. Through this strategic plan, FCARI will deepen their commitment to elevating caregiver voice—ensuring that all initiatives remain responsive, relevant, and grounded in lived experience. Direct Care Workforce Strategies Center Workshop Series

The Direct Care Workforce Strategies Center is hosting Making State Systems Work Together to Support HCBS, a three-part interactive workshop series designed to help state teams align Medicaid, workforce, and education systems to strengthen the direct care workforce. The series is intended for state-level staff. Each session will be held from 3:00-4:30 PM ET. The topics and dates are:

• Getting Started: Building Cross-Agency Commitment: July 23
• Strengthening Partnerships Across Systems: August 18
• Building Career Pathways and Apprenticeships: September 24
