State Spotlight: Rhode Island’s No Wrong Marketing Strategy
The United Way of Rhode Island, with support from the Rhode Island Office of Healthy Aging, uses innovative practices to deliver Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) services. United Way’s outreach efforts include bringing their 30-foot RV into the community to visit food pantries, health centers, libraries, and other locations statewide. Staff connect directly with community members to share information about the wide array of ADRC services. This includes in-person assistance and follow-up appointments for State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counseling, guidance on benefits like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Low-Income Heating Assistance, and referrals to local community organizations offering essential services. Sign up for the TA Community and engage with the Rhode Island team under their TA Community post here.
