Here is today’s Monday Mailer for you:
PCORI Comparative Study Opportunity
The University of Minnesota School of Public Health, with funding approved by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), is partnering with USAging on a five-year study comparing two online dementia caregiver support programs designed to help caregivers manage dementia-related behavioral symptoms and support their own well-being. The study will engage area agencies on aging to recruit caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias, with participating sites receiving technical assistance, training, access to one of the caregiver platforms, and funding. Thirty sites will be selected to participate. An informational webinar will be held on August 20 at 2:00pm ET to share additional details about this opportunity and answer applicant questions. Register for the webinar here. Learn more about the opportunity and apply here.
ADvancing States Aging Summit Summary Report
Earlier this year, ADvancing States convened the 2026 Aging Summit, bringing together more than 220 leaders from 42 states and territories, federal agencies, national organizations, health plans, academia, philanthropy, and the private sector. Participants were united by a shared goal: ensuring readiness to meet the needs and aspirations of today's and tomorrow's older adults. The Aging Summit Summary Report provides a roadmap for action, ranging from practical near-term opportunities to longer-term system reforms. Together, the report’s recommendations reflect a shared vision for creating systems that are proactive rather than reactive, integrated rather than fragmented, and person-centered rather than program-centered.
