Description: This report describes findings from a 2021 survey of Centers for Independent Living (CILs) on care transitions. CILs were asked to compare the volume of pre-pandemic transitions (April-September 2019) to post-pandemic transitions (April-September 2020) and describe how these services were impacted by the pandemic. As mentioned in this report, the survey findings suggest that the number of successful transitions declined during the pandemic and that the pandemic made transitions more time-consuming and complicated. The report also details limitations to this study, including a low rate of participation in the survey and high rates of non-response among survey participants.
