TA Community 

• Have you signed up for the TA Community? The No Wrong Door Technical Assistance (TA) Community is a collaboration space for you to stay informed, access resources, and connect with peers! Once signed up, you can participate in discussions with peers.  

• Person-Centered Counseling Resources: A state's No Wrong Door System is built on four key functions designed to transform their access system for all populations. Person-Centered Counseling is one of the four key functions. Find state examples and resources related to strengthening Person-Centered Counseling here.

Direct Care Workforce

• Applications are open for State Technical Assistance to Improve Direct Care Worker Recruitment, Training, and Retention. The Direct Care Workforce Strategies Center, led by the National Council on Aging (NCOA), is excited to open applications for the second round of technical assistance opportunities for states to build a robust direct care workforce. The Strategies Center works directly with states through comprehensive, technical assistance provided by subject matter experts and key stakeholders to improve direct care workforce recruitment, training, and retention. Applications are due June 6th. Find out more here.

• Medicare Fraud Prevention Week focuses on the actions everyone can take to prevent Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse. Medicare Fraud Prevention Week runs the week of June 5, or 6/5, because most people become eligible for Medicare when they turn 65. Medicare Fraud Prevention Week is hosted by the Administration for Community Living and the Senior Medicare Patrol, known as the SMP. Read more here.

• West Health and other Multisector Plan for Aging (MPA) partners designed a Communications Toolkit with branding materials (such as PowerPoint templates, fonts, and logos) for states working to develop or spread awareness around MPAs.  The materials can be used for presentations at conferences, to engage stakeholders, for social media, or in other educational settings. Using this consistent branding can help create cohesiveness around the MPA movement.
