No Wrong Door Resource Center at Age+Action 2026

The No Wrong Door Resource Center collaborated with ACL’s Office of Healthcare Information and Counseling and the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Milwaukee County on two sessions at Age+Action – the descriptions are below and the PowerPoints are attached.

The team presented on the federal vision for a No Wrong Door access system for services and supports and led interactive discussions among participants beginning by using  Padlet. Participants scanned a QR code to upload their responses to “What does person-centered mean to you?"

We discussed how to build on that by exploring how the Life Course Nexus Integrated Support Star can be applied in our own lives and for those we serve. See No Wrong Door Tip Sheets here.  Tamarra Carr of the ADRC of Milwaukee County presented during the second session on the ADRC's No Wrong Door approach as a Benefits Enrollment Center (BEC).

Session 1: A Person-Centered Approach to Health Information and Counseling

Are you ready to unlock person-centered strategies for supporting people with health information and counseling? Step beyond traditional service delivery and join this high-impact, interactive session where we transform the vision of the No Wrong Door state system of access into practical reality. Person-centered practices offer agencies a lens to support people in community living by designing supports to help them achieve their life goals. ACL is strengthening person-centered practices within the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), and Medicaid Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) networks. These programs play a ke

y role realizing the vision of a No Wrong Door state system of access, which address long-term services and supports access inefficiencies through coordinated networks of partners and stakeholders. Leave with a customized roadmap to implement these practices immediately, ensuring your coordinated networks address long-term services and supports access inefficiencies.

Session 2: A No Wrong Door Approach to Benefits Enrollment

Join this essential session to explore how a No Wrong Door system vision transforms access to community services and supports and why Benefits Enrollment Centers (BECs) should work within this framework in their own communities. Individuals often face challenges, making decisions based on incomplete or inaccurate information about their options. BECs help low-income adults 65+ and younger adults with disabilities to crucial resources such as health care, food, and more. This session will explore how a No Wrong Door approach creates efficiencies across a state/local network to empower individuals to make informed decisions, exercising control over their financial resources and achieving personal goals. Hear from the Administration for Community Living, the No Wrong Door Resource Center and directly from the Milwaukee Aging and Disability Resource Center which is also a BEC about how they participate in Wisconsin’s No Wrong Door.
