Description: Iowa used ADRC CARES Act funding to partner with Easterseals Iowa Assistive Technology (AT) Program (state AT program) to address social isolation. Easterseals Iowa AT Program assists with evaluating the AT needs; obtaining the needed AT; providing training on how to use AT; and following up to make sure the AT continues to meet the person’s needs. They are also measuring social isolation. The funds were passed to the state AT program through an MOU with a local partner in the state NWD System Aging (called Iowa Lifelong Links) - Elderbridge Area Agency on Aging. Local ADRCs statewide also make referrals to the program.
